The Creative Writing Class at the PST helps budding writers to go from a first draft right through to publication. With different writers at various stages in the group, we spend the first hour discussing the set topics and then, for the final hour, the class asks questions about anything they wish related to writing or publishing.
This allows everyone in the group to get the help they need to move forward with their work. As a hybrid author (traditionally published and self-published), I hope to be able to help the writers in the group decide what publishing route also suits their plans for their writing. In week one we discussed the different genres, plotting your books, and even how to find unique and original ideas.
The tips and tricks that I’ve learnt over the years are poured into each class to help everyone begin their writing and publishing journey. Even though we have only started, the group has been a fantastic opportunity to get an inside look at the writing and publishing world.
