We met at 9:00 am at Hydebank for our day trip to Newcastle Co Down. The sun was shining and everyone was in good spirits. The coach rolled of and we headed for our first stop at Harrison’s of Greyabbey. On arrival we were shown to our own seats in the VIP area!! We were given a lovely welcome from one of the owners who thanked us for using their restaurant as a group and this was followed by a really lovely breakfast.
Really worth a visit if you have never been before, the views and food are amazing.
After breakfast we were given some time to browse around in the shop, some couldn’t wait to get shopping.
We boarded the coach and with our trusted driver Shelly we headed to catch the ferry at Portaferry, the crossing was quick and we headed off to Newcastle.
On arrival it was free time to spend in Newcastle.
We regrouped around 3:30 apart from the few stragglers who will remain nameless😂 and made our way to the Burrendale hotel for tea.
We had a beautiful meal, great craic and great company.
Unfortunately it was then time to board the coach and head back to Hydebank.
Another great outing, looking forward to catching up again.
Len & Elaine.
