Our book launch took place on 24 April at Hydebank and was a great success. Thank you to everyone who purchased a copy, all proceeds of which go directly to the PST to continue their sterling work.
This was an ambitious venture with each of us submitting stories and poems to suit a variety of tastes. There will be further opportunities to obtain a copy at events throughout the year. In addition, Michelle will be only too happy to provide copies to those who cannot wait to see what all the fuss is about.
If you were a fly on the wall at one of our meetings, you would be amazed at the discussions we have around current affairs. We put the world to rights and provide common sense solutions to economic problems, which would never occur to politicians of course. The suggestion of a permanent pay cut for MPs for instance would never see the light of day. We also read our pieces aloud, inviting constructive criticism and aim to provide at least one item per class. We now have a new member, Amy and we welcome her to our team. Amy’s stories have already shown that she will be a valuable contributor as the Fab Four becomes the Fab Five!
If anyone enjoys writing stories or poems, come along and we promise we will not bite.
Our next project will be along the same lines as Poems, Stories and Tales, with a possible addition around nicknames. However, we are taking time out to enjoy writing, without any pressure or deadlines, for the next few months.
Once again, thank you for all the support and encouragement we received, especially from the Board of the PST who enabled this project to succeed. Most of all we hope you enjoy our coffee table book.
